The course is a compulsory course for all undergraduates, one credit hour. The course aim is to train students in informational quality, help students with establishing a sense of lifelong learning, enhance their self-learning ability and creative ability. The course is divided into three major sections: information retrieval and application of humanities and social sciences, information retrieval and its application in science and engineering, medicinal information retrieval and its utilization.
Currently, the department has a total number of 35 teachers, 10 with senior professional titles, 2 with Ph.D., 21 with Master degree and 2 Ph.D. candidates.
