On January 21, 2020, the Social Science Department of the Ministry of Education released the list of general projects for humanities and social sciences research. Established by the Ministry of Education, the fund aims to strengthen basic research, strengthen applied research, encourage countermeasures research, support traditional, emerging and interdisciplinary disciplines, and focus on the transformation of results of national competitive projects, representing the higher level of domestic universities.

Jiangsu University won 6 projects of planning fund and youth fund, among which, Dr. Su Wencheng of Institute of Science and Technology Information submitted the topic of “Research on Interactive Model of Cross-space Information Retrieval of Library Users from the perspective of Environmental Cognition”, and won the project of Youth Fund of “Library, Information and Literature”.

“Research on Interactive Model of Cross-space Information Retrieval of Library Users from the perspective of Environmental Cognition” project, tries to comb the user cognitive and affective elements influence mechanism, the interpreting users cognitive environment, the potential environment quantitative correlation between the cognitive and affective variables mechanism, clarify the user and the space, behavior and environment, the situation and task interaction relations, set up the user across the three dimensional space information retrieval interaction model. The theory, mode, system, model and practice cases of library users’ cross-space information retrieval behavior formed by this topic will provide theoretical guidance and practical reference for the upgrading of library users’ cross-space information retrieval experience, and promote the practical exploration process of library intelligent service platform construction.
