Data is an asset. The management of such data is key for replicability and traceability of research. Good research data management leads to quality result that will inure to the benefit of the countries at large. The focus of our research is research data management with emphasis on RDM policies and practices in the world. We compares research data management policies from different countries (UK, USA AND AUSTRALIA) and derives the similarities and differences between the various research data management policies. This offers the opportunity to have some knowledge on current RDM practices. Knowing the difference will help the researchers to be abreast with policies content in different countries and also help those institutions about to formulate their policy to have a better understanding.
