On the 23rdof July 2019, a defence session was organised for Mrs Portia Nyame to defend her written thesis orally. The session began at exactly 9:30 at the Library ConferenceRoom (first floor of the library). The defence panel, teachers and students of the department and other departments being present. The members of the defence Panel were:
1. Yuan Run (President of defence committee)
2. Zhang Xiaoyang (Member of defence committee)
3. Liu Guifeng (Member of defence committee)
4. Li Mingzhu (Member of defence committee)
5. Wang Meng(Member of defence committee)
6. Zhu Yue (Secretary)
After the defence panel was seated, Mrs Portia Nyame did an oral presentation of her paper titled “RESEARCH ON THE USABILITY OF LIBRARY WEBSITES OF UNIVERSITIES BASED ON THE NEEDS OF INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS” supervised by Professor Lu Zhangping and Fu Qiao. The defence was applauded by all members present. The defence Panel then asked various questions about the written thesis and oral presentation and also gave suggestions to review some parts of the paper. The panel also recommended her for her hard work during her studies. After answering the questions, Mrs Nyame was asked to excuse the panel. The panel therefore made their decision and invited her back. She was later invited in and informed of the decision of the committee.The program ended with celebration and congratulatory messages and pictures of all members present was taken according to order. The program therefore came to a complete end at 10:30.
