RESEARCH FOCUS

Academic libraries are one of the main components of an education and research system of every country.Their optimal and good performance attracts further students, professors as well as researchers. To achieve such an objective, libraries should provide better services and specific conditions in which the researchers’ knowledge is improved both qualitatively and quantitatively.

With a sharp increase in the number of foreign students coming to study in tertiary institutions especially China, it is becoming increasingly difficult for university libraries to meet their needs. To better serve these students, universities are expected to better understand how international students are viewing university library services.

The main purpose of this research is therefore to investigate how international students’ evaluate service quality of academic libraries based on their experience and discuss ways of developing library professionals’ awareness of international students’ usage of library services; and enhancing their library use and experiences.

Notwithstanding, the primary aim of this study is to identify the quality of service of the university library and to analyze the relationship the quality of service has on library use from the point of view of international students
